MY ROLE

Leading the planning, programming, and design of the brand's 70,000-square-foot offices and showroom in New York City. My involvement began with hiring external teams and ended once all construction deficiencies were resolved.

APPROACH

The process started with test-fit drawings (a floor plan to confirm that the stated program requirements can be accommodated within the physical space). Working with designers, architects, and lighting planners, we created layouts to shape the environment and circulation through space. In close collaboration with the German design team, we developed the public areas to achieve a similar look to the global corporate headquarters but to suit the American market. We planned private offices toward the center of the building, which allowed the majority of open seating to enjoy the natural light. We took particular interest in floor finishes for sound absorption and regressed lighting lenses to reduce glare.

RESULTS

The project perfectly combined operational requirements, modern finishes and the unrefined exposed finishes of the space. The juxtaposition of these finishes was the perfect solution for the offices, showrooms, and common areas.
