Leading the planning, programming, and design of the brands 70,000 square foot offices and showroom in New York City. My involvement began with the hiring of external teams and ended once all construction deficiencies were resolved.
The process started with test-fit drawings (a floor plan used to confirm that the stated program requirements can be accommodated within a physical space). Working with Architects, Designers, and Lighting Planners, we created layouts that would shape the environment & circulation through space. In close collaboration with the German design team, we developed the public areas to achieve a similar look of the corporate headquarters, but to suit the American market.
We planned private offices toward the core of the building, which allowed the majority of open seating to enjoy the natural light. We took particular interest in floor finishes for sound absorption and regressed lighting lenses to reduce glare.
The project perfectly combined operational requirements, modern finishes and the unrefined exposed finishes of the space. The juxtaposition of these finishes was the perfect solution for the offices, showroom, and common areas.
